HSBC Bank A.Þ. has adopted the following basic rules in order to ensure the privacy of all information given by its customers:
- Only the information believed to be necessary for the financial needs of the customer and for rendering of the services by HSBC Bank A.Þ. to the customer are obtained from the customer.
- The customer information is used to provide better service and product to the customer.
- The customer information is disclosed to the HSBC group companies and agencies to the extent permitted by law.
- The customer information shall not be disclosed to any institution and entity other than the HSBC Group companies without the prior consent of the customer, unless the law requires otherwise or a prior notice is given to the customer.
- Regulatory and enforcement bodies and authorities, or regulatory boards to which HSBC Bank A.Þ. is subject may require the Bank to disclose the customer information from time to time. In this case, the customer information shall be disclosed to the extent the authority given to the Bank allows.
- The objective of HSBC Bank A.Þ. is to keep the customer information updated.
- HSBC Bank A.Þ. implements a strict security system to prevent unauthorized access by any person, including its staff, to the customer information.
- All HSBC Group companies, all HSBC staff members and all third persons who are authorized to access to the customer information are particularly obliged to conform to the privacy obligation.
